In 1981, while working on her own ceramics, this native Californian decided to start teaching ceramics. By 1990, she opened The Patti Marcus Ceramic Studio in West Los Angeles with 25 students. By 1991, the enrollment grew to nearly 125 students who regularly attended classes, workshops, and gallery openings.
In 1999 Patti decided to broaden her scope and began working at The Archer School for Girls as a ceramics teacher for 8th through 12th graders until 2010.
In 2017 she joined the faculty at the Brentwood Art Center.
Patti has continued teaching in her studio and working on her own line of vases, olive oil jars, functional ware, along with eclectic works.
