Susan Simon is a painter, fine artist, and greeting card artist. Coming from a family of artists, including her mom and grandfather, she grew up surrounded by art and art tools, and while she was in high school she attended classes at the Brentwood Art Center itself!
Her love for art continued as the years went on and later, she attended night classes at Art Center while working for a greeting card company during the day. Over the years she has had over 20 designs licensed and published by Papyrus Greetings and she continues to freelance with them.
In 2006 she began teaching afterschool art classes at her son’s elementary school and found she had a passion for being a part of those kids’ artistic education. She loves bringing out the creativity in children, giving them the freedom and space to tap into their inner artists.
Currently she lives in Brentwood with her son, her dog Violet and her cat Skittles. When she is not teaching or back in school studying for a degree in Fine Art, you can find her at a pilates class, at the beach, or drawing in her sketchbook at the Getty.
