Summer Day Camps...

For Children 5 – 13 Years

Our Fine Art Day Camp is for 5-13 year olds interested in having fun while participating in a rich, aesthetic experience. Camp will be held on the premises of the Brentwood Art Center. This specialized program gives children the opportunity to explore their creativity under the direction of our exceptional and enthusiastic faculty. Everyone brings a lunch and drink, we walk to a local school or park.

Summer 2012

Two-week camps include all of the following categories while one-week camps include a minimum of two of the following categories.
If both one-week camps of Session 1 or both one-week camps of Session 5 are taken, all of the following categories will be included.

Drawing

Through drawing, students will develop their eye by learning skills and techniques to achieve structure and volume as well as improve their perception. They will work with a wide variety of materials such as pencil, colored pencil, markers and pastels.

Painting

Young artists express their individuality with acrylic and watercolor paint. Basic techniques are taught with a focus on developing skills and pursuing an imaginative and personal approach.

Sculpture

Students will experience the world of three-dimensional art by working with materials such as clay, plaster, wood, wire and/or foamcore to bring their ideas to life. Finished sculptures are often painted and enhanced with decorative objects.

Printmaking

Discover the power of design and texture through printmaking. Students create their own designs and drawings, reproducing their ideas with an endless array of colored inks.

Registration opens March 1st
