Class Description:
COMMUTER CLASSES
These classes will assist students who come from a distance by being scheduled during commute-friendly hours. The classes will cover an array of subjects. Check back each semester to see what is offered under the Commuter Class category.
PAINTING IN A SERIES NEW
Students have an opportunity to explore one subject, idea or concept of their choice and create a consistent body of work. The instructor will utilize examples of artists throughout history as inspiration. Student furnishes own supplies. Painting Fundamentals required.
ART OF ASSEMBLAGE NEW
This class explores the three-dimensional possibilities of constructive art-making. Beginning with a box as a “canvas” students will create personal art objects utilizing such applications as paint and collage. Techniques for attaching objects will also be presented. Students will be asked to consider both the inside and outside of the form and content. Found objects will act as source material and themes are provided as a creative prompt. Student furnishes own supplies. No prior coursework necessary.
