During this week-long art workshop, Amanda’s approach to plein air painting will be demonstrated with particular focus on selecting a dynamic composition, refining how to see tone and color, learning how to simplify the landscape and using bold, loose strokes to create a powerful and accurate representation on canvas or paper. Personal attention will be given to each student according to their skill level and artistic goals. This art workshop will focus on painting the Colorado landscape from life, outside. If the weather turns, then we will paint from photos inside the studio.
